The Lakes Region Agricultural Collaborative is a loosely-organized group of local farmers. Several of them have been working together for two years to provide fresh produce to the Laconia Got Lunch program, a summer meal program for children in Laconia. In 2016 they provided nearly $6000 worth of fresh vegetables to approximately 270 families. Farmers in the collaborative also work together in other ways, like equipment sharing, information sharing, deliveries, and within-group sales so that farmers can meet demands for their customers when a crop falls short. The group is open to anyone who is interested. To get in touch with LRAC, please visit the LRFN Contact Page.
